Let’s cut to the chase, we’re growing!
Since I formed codepotato limited back in April 2011 the business has been growing at a mindblowing pace. I’ve has been lucky enough to work with some prestigious companies and have earned respect from the industries I operate in.
If growth continues at the rate currently, i’ll be looking to hire someone near the start of 2012. However this poses issues i’m sure every growing web agency experiences.
I cherish the respect and trust I have with the people i’ve worked with, and those I haven’t. At the moment, I have full control over how projects are delivered, and how the relationships are with my clients. It’s both wonderfully scary and exciting to think that I might have to share these responsibilities with someone else in the near future.
So what am I getting at?
Basically, I want to start collating contact details of people that would like to have the opportunity to work with codepotato on future projects.
Put it another way: I will only hire someone i’ve worked with previously.
The way I see it is that if i’ve worked with someone on a project before I would have seen how they work, what level of pride they put into it and what they think of customers. These are the key things i think i would struggle with if i was to go down the conventional approach of recruiting. So, by putting your contact details down we may be working on projects in the future and you may be offered a full-time job with codepotato when the opportunity arises. Exciting!
In the meantime your contact details will be used to let you know if ever there comes a point where i could do with some help. This could be for larger-than-normal projects, an overdose of projects or a skill-set i don’t possess.
I have a set vision for codepotato. It will be a fun and quirky but more importantly a flipping epic design & development house. It’ll be full of passionate designers and developers that enjoy coming to work and working with clients.
There’ll be coffee, frequent meals out with the team and clients and a healthy mix of banging tunes. Team that up with being part of an up-and-coming agency, who-ever I take on will hopefully look back at their time with codepotato as one of their most enjoyable employment periods ever. That’s what i’m striving for.
So, at this stage, i need you to pigeon-hole yourself as any of the following. You’ll go onto a mailchimp mailing list, and i’ll be in touch in due-course.
* p.s. I like creativity. If you can think of any way to show your skillz and suitability for the growth of codepotato, go do it!
And no, this isn’t me promoting spec-work.. you haters go troll some other site!
p.p.s. Signing up to any of the following is strictly confidential. I understand some of you may have full-time jobs already and i will not put you in an awkward situation with your employer. I’ve been there…
